Cannes: Greg Kinnear, Emma Roberts Board ‘Spinning Man’
The psychologial thriller, starring Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, is being handled by Film Bridge International.
Greg Kinnear and Emma Roberts are joining the cast of Spinning Man, the psychological thriller starring Nikolaj Coster-Waldau that will mark the American debut of Danish filmmaker Peter Flinth.
The production, scheduled to begin filming in Minnesota in June, will star Game of Thrones star Coster-Waldau as a philosophy professor who becomes the prime suspect in the disappearance of a high school cheerleader. Kinnear will play the detective assigned to the investigation, while Roberts will play the professor’s star student.
The screenplay by Matthew Aldrich is based on the novel by George Harrar. Keith Arnold will produce along with Ellen Wander. Wander’s Film Bridge International is representing the project in Cannes.
Coster-Waldau, who also stars in the upcoming Shot Caller, and Kinnear, who will next be seen in Ira Sachs’ Little Men are repped by WME, while Flinth is repped by ICM Partners. Roberts, who recently wrapped Billionaire Boys Club, is repped by CAA and Sweeney Entertainment. Aldrich is repped by WME and Silent R Management. Harrar is with Zachary Shuster Harmsworth. Elsa Ramo and Ericka Canchola of Ramo Law are representing the producers.
