Alexis Whitaker is a dynamic attorney with a specialization in film finance, production legal, and content distribution deals. Leveraging a strong foundation in corporate law, Alexis offers a unique perspective to entertainment clients, proven through her track record of navigating complex transactions.

 

Alexis' expertise in advising on multi-million-dollar M&A, as well as debt and equity financing transactions, enables her to provide comprehensive legal counsel to clients throughout each stage of production.

 

Her passion for entertainment solidified during her time as a business and legal affairs intern at Nickelodeon, a Paramount network, where she gained invaluable experience working on above-the-line performer agreements for live-action and animated TV series.

 

Previously, as a corporate associate at A&O Shearman LLP, Alexis maintained her relationship with Paramount Global by advising on a tender offer to repurchase up to $1 billion of outstanding debt securities.

 

Alexis is also deeply involved in the legal community as a member of the Beverly Hills Bar Association and the Langston Bar Association. She also serves on the board of the Houston Bar Association's Entertainment and Sports Law Section, positioning herself at the forefront of industry developments. Alexis actively organizes CLEs on cutting-edge topics in entertainment, tech, and sports law, collaborating with major Houston sports teams like the Rockets, Texans, and Dynamo. Her involvement ensures she stays abreast of the latest trends in entertainment and provides invaluable insights to her clients.
