- Credentials
With production legal experience in both New York and Los Angeles, Heather Yonkers focuses on legal and distribution work for various production companies, which includes guiding financiers and distributors. Heather is particularly attuned to the talent perspective when drafting contracts and agreements for productions. A former child actor, Heather has previous experience representing actors, writers, directors and production companies.
Heather has handled a full array of legal agreements on unscripted productions, working from inception to distribution. As a legal intern with Gray Krauss Sandler Des Rochers LLP in New York, she gained valuable exposure to production packages for film and television. Heather honed her skill with intellectual property rights while an associate attorney at Fuller Law, P.C., where she worked with old Hollywood, influencers, emerging talent, and a range of agreements, including endorsement and sponsorship deals.
While earning a J.D. with a certificate in IP and Media Law at Brooklyn Law School, Heather discovered production legal. She found the intersection of intellectual property issues, entertainment and creative expression a perfect fit. Heather supports the firm’s counsel to emerging media, financiers and distribution companies.
