Michael Segal, a Los Angeles native, brings a distinctive combination of entertainment industry expertise and an innovative approach to his role at Ramo. Known for his forward-thinking perspective on emerging technologies and financing strategies, Segal plays a pivotal role in facilitating complex transactions. He represents both lender-side and producer-side financing deals and has contributed to the successful closings of notable projects such as The Kill Room ($5.6 million) and Terrifier 3 ($3 million). His practice also extends to unscripted television and music licensing agreements.
Segal began his journey at Ramo as a law clerk before advancing to an associate position following his graduation from law school. He earned his Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School, completing the accelerated SCALE program with a focus on entertainment law. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Tulane University’s Freeman School of Business.
Outside of his legal career, Segal enjoys hobbies such as pickleball, music, television, and gardening.
