Entertainment Lawyer Elsa Ramo Named to Los Angeles Business Journal’s List of “Most Influential Minority Lawyers”
Elsa Ramo, founder of Ramo Law PC, was recently named among Los Angeles Business Journal’s list of “Most Influential Minority Lawyers.”
Los Angeles Business Journal says it created the list to highlight “particularly stellar minority attorneys in the L.A. region who happen to be from a broad cultural spectrum.” The list includes only those considered particularly impactful on the legal scene, “while serving as trusted advisors in the L.A. region, along with maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards, and for contributions to the Los Angeles business and legal community at large.”
The story honoring her contributions notes that Ramo, who provides comprehensive legal services to producers, financiers, creators and owners of film, television and digital content, represented over 90 films and 15 television series in 2018 alone, including 11 that debuted at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival.
Los Angeles Business Journal also praised Ramo’s leadership beyond her successful Beverly Hills firm. She dedicates substantial time to mentoring women though various organizations, representing female producer and directors and serves as a go-to commentator and instructor on legal issues related to film financing and the entertainment market.
As managing partner to the firm, she handles client matters as well as manages the firm’s attorneys and packaging and sales department and is a prevalent dealmaker in packaging, financing, production and distribution for all forms of audiovisual content.
Ramo is a first-generation U.S. citizen and has two other female law partners. She was worked on award-winning projects such as “The Americans”, “Call Me By Your Name”, “A Private War” and “What They Had”.
